NFL Owners Vote to Allow Private Equity Investments
On Tuesday, NFL owners voted 31-1 in favor of allowing select private equity firms to purchase stakes in teams. These firms include Ares Management, Sixth Street Partners, Arctos Partners, Dynasty Equity, Blackstone, Carlyle Group, CVC Capital Partners and Ludis. The NFL is the last major sports league to allow private equity investment as rising valuations make it harder for owners to buy in.
