Our investment committee has over 100 years of collective experience in private markets and has participated in the creation and management of more than a dozen opportunistic and thematic funds, five of which have completed their full investment life cycles.

Rob is a Managing Member, Chief Financial Officer and Co-Founder of GAIM. He serves on the Investment Committee and is active in the formulation of each specific Fund.

Rob’s 40 years of professional experience is key when consulting with client families, businesses and institutions. He began his career at Arthur Andersen & Co., as a staff accountant, serving the needs of small-business clients. He was the founder and President of Fox Valley Spring Company and President of Oak-Bay Corporation. Additionally, Rob held a consultant role providing strategic advice to entrepreneurs in areas such as corporate structure, customer base, product mix and systems. For ten years, Rob was the Director of Wealth Management and a Member of the Investment Committee at Sumnicht & Associates, LLC. He was involved in helping incubate and launch their ETF model management business in February of 2005 under the brand name iSectors.

Rob received his bachelor’s degree from Marquette University in 1980, with a double major in Accounting and Finance. He received his CPA designation from the State of Wisconsin in 1983, became a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) in 1984, and received his Accredited Wealth Management: Advisor (AWMA®) designation from the College of Financial Planning in November 2005.

In 2019, Rob was named to the Investopedia Top 100 Financial Advisors list. This award celebrates financial advisors who have contributed significantly to conversations about financial literacy, investing strategies, life-stage planning and wealth management.

Prateek has over 27 years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to coming to Wisconsin, Prateek was a principal with GTG Ventures, Inc., in Palo Alto, California, where he was responsible for sourcing and analyzing investment opportunities across various technology sectors. Prateek brings a unique global perspective to the Company. Born in India and armed with a degree in engineering, Prateek has earned an MBA, is a CFA charterholder, and is the first Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst in the State of Wisconsin.

Prateek has spent his career cultivating relationships with private fund managers, hedge fund managers, and venture capitalists and utilizes this extensive list of contacts to source unique private and public investment opportunities. Prateek has spearheaded the launch of 15 funds with the current investment team.

Robert is Managing Director and Head of Private Capital at Global Alternative Investment Management (“GAIM”), where he is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, structuring, and executing private market investment opportunities across asset classes. He works closely with institutional and high-net-worth investors while helping lead the continued development and growth of the firm’s private capital platform.

Robert brings over a decade of experience in capital markets and strategic advisory, including progressive roles at Wells Fargo Securities, as well as experience at KeyBanc Capital Markets and Piper Jaffray. Throughout his career, he has advised financial institutions, including insurance companies, along with select corporate clients and financial sponsors on a broad range of complex transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity capital raises, and public offerings.

His experience also includes advising fintech and insurtech companies, as well as businesses integrating technology and AI into traditional business models, providing him with insight into evolving business models, valuation frameworks, and the intersection of financial services and innovation. Robert has experience across both buy-side and sell-side engagements within private markets and has worked alongside management teams, investors, and sponsors on strategic and capital formation initiatives.

Robert holds a Bachelor of Science in Business from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota and a Master of Science in Finance from the Carroll School of Management at Boston College. He is both a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA®) charterholder.

Jamie is responsible for researching new investment opportunities and assisting with management & reporting of special purpose vehicles (SPVs) and private funds.

Prior to joining the Company, Jamie worked at Thrivent Financial, a Fortune 500 company, for over nine years in multiple roles with the latest role working as a research analyst for Thrivent Asset Management. His prior employer was extensively involved in trading equities, analyzing portfolio risk, and managing equity index portfolios.

Prior to working in the financial services industry, Jamie worked as an accountant for several area firms, specializing in individual, partnership, and corporate tax.

Jamie received his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, with a double major in Accounting and Finance. He is both a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) charterholder and a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

Tim has been involved in the securities, investment management, and advisory industry since 1987 and brings nearly four decades of experience to the Firm. As a member of the Investment Committee and serving as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Compliance Officer, he has been an integral member of the private funds team since the launch of the Firm’s affiliate’s first private fund in 2016.

Tim contributes to the investment team’s evaluation of prospective investment opportunities, development of new fund strategies, and investment decision-making process. He oversees the operational and regulatory aspects of new fund formation, including coordinating with outside fund counsel and other service providers to develop offering documents. On an ongoing basis, Tim’s role involves legal, accounting, regulatory compliance, reporting, marketing, and other aspects fund operations.

Prior to joining the Firm, Tim served for six years as Managing Director of an SEC-registered ETF model management firm. His responsibilities included research and analysis of tactical asset allocation strategies, model trading, operations, compliance, performance reporting, and marketing communications.

Earlier in his career, Tim held positions as a portfolio manager and hedge fund research analyst. He also served in several roles of increasing responsibility with William O’Neil Co. in Los Angeles, including fundamental research, institutional marketing, and National Sales Manager for the firm’s approximately $300 million mutual fund.

Tim earned an MBA from Loyola Marymount University and is a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma National Honor Society. Tim has been quoted in national business publications and has appeared on CNBC.

John works with qualified investors—including business owners, physicians, executives, and multi-generational families—to help them thoughtfully incorporate private market investments into a broader long-term investment strategy.

As Private Markets Specialist, John works with clients to evaluate opportunities across the firm's private investment platform, including late-stage venture capital, private equity, private credit, and other alternative investments. He works closely with investors to determine whether private investments are appropriate based on their objectives, liquidity needs, risk tolerance, and long-term goals.

John believes successful private investing begins with disciplined manager selection, thoughtful portfolio construction, and a long-term perspective. Rather than pursuing investment trends, he emphasizes rigorous due diligence and alignment between each opportunity and a client's overall investment strategy.

The firm's private investment platform provides qualified investors with access to carefully selected private market opportunities through relationships with experienced managers and sponsors. By combining a disciplined due-diligence process with an established investment framework, the firm seeks to provide qualified investors with access to select private-market opportunities through dedicated investment structures.

With more than 15 years of experience in investment management and advising high-net-worth families, John brings a disciplined approach to evaluating private market opportunities and helping investors integrate them into a long-term investment strategy. He earned his degree from St. Norbert College and serves on the firm's Investment Committee.

Cole is an Investment Analyst at GAIM, where he supports the firm’s investment research, trading, and portfolio management efforts. Before joining GAIM in 2025, Cole worked as a Portfolio Administrator for two years, developing a strong foundation in account operations and client service.

Cole passed the CFP® exam and is a CFA® Level II candidate, demonstrating a strong commitment to professional development and deep investment analysis. Cole holds a Bachelor’s degree in Personal Finance from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Darla joined our family office services team to be the point of contact for client private equity reports. She works closely with the Controller and Investment Committee to make sure data is reported in a timely manner to our clients as well as to outside audit teams. Her position contributes to the high level of transparency and accuracy of the accounting transactions.

She comes to us with over 25 years of financial and operational accounting experience that she gained at Faith Technologies, Inc. where a high emphasis was placed on the personal needs of the customers. Darla has a master's degree in Business Administration from the University of WI Oshkosh and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business with an emphasis in Accounting from Lake Superior State University in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan.

Heidi has over 15 years of customer service and administrative experience which is extremely beneficial in the communications and exchange of information not only with clients, but also with other professionals such as attorneys and accountants, fund managers, and account custodians.

Abigail assists in providing operational support to GAIM. She creates, implements, and manages workflows to improve operational efficiency and enhance the member experience. In addition, she helps manage and facilitate investment transactions.

Abigail has over 9 years of customer service, account management and project development experience. She possesses the ability to ensure accuracy and attention to detail, skills she gained from her previous role as a Revenue Analyst where she managed more than 400 customer accounts on behalf of a Fortune 500 company over 5 years. Having been in a supervisory position, she emphasizes that of working together as a team is what makes us successful.

With previous roles as an office manager for several dental practices, Elaine brings a professional background of small business management to her role with Global Alternative Investment Management. With previous experience in accounting/billing, credentials analysis, human resources, credit analysis, regulatory compliance and project development, she provides operational and administrative support to all members of our team.

Elaine has a business degree from Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon where she was awarded Delta Mu Delta (National Business Honors Society) membership for academic excellence for business administration students.
